Weekly Update!
The girls worked hard preparing for the end-of-year math assessment and for the states and capitals "quiz". I am almost done conferencing with the girls about their math test results. The test itself will get filed away and passed on to the middle school. However, be on the lookout for a score sheet, which will come home on Monday. On the sheet, I have listed any concepts your daughter missed on the assessment, so she knows what topics to spend a little extra time reviewing over summer. Since I won't be sending home a packet of papers,I will send an e-mail with a Google form for you to fill out, so I can be sure you have seen the results (and the paper didn't get lost in the shuffle on Monday).
Fifteen out of the eighteen girls have turned in their states and capitals "quiz" and CONGRATULATIONS to Holt, Chloe, Julianna and Paige!!! Holt and Chloe got ALL 50 states, capitals, AND abbreviations correct including the location of each state on the map! Julianna and Paige got all of the states and capitals correct along with their locations. There were many other girls who memorized more than half of the states and capitals, which is impressive! Way to go girls!
I think we all would agree that Nira Guare has been such an amazing room mom this yearđShe graciously offered to throw a Luau themed end-of-year surprise party for the girls on Thursday. A fun time was had by all. Click here to see pictures from the party.
Oh, I almost forgot the Fourthie grade-level party on Friday. The girls enjoyed swimming, eating pizza as well as getting Kona Ice from the Kona Ice truck. Then, they watched a movie and had popcorn and M&M's. What a great way to top off a truly memorable year!
