In math, we reviewed for the Unit 6 quiz. The girls worked really hard, and I was very happy with the results. In the coming weeks, we will continue with addition and subtraction of decimals and move on to multiplication and division of decimals. We will be doing some fun projects to go along with these concepts.
In language arts and history, we met twice in our literature circle groups for our class historical fiction novel Number the Stars, and the girls completed an individual, group, and peer evaluation. I was impressed by their level of preparation and insightful comments during our in-person group meetings as well as on their written evaluations. The girls also worked on their Roomstyler rooms for their biography book project. They are really enjoying creating their virtual rooms. For our unit on Immigration, the girls continued to work on their country research projects. I am allowing the girls to choose how they present their information. Many girls have chosen to use Buncee, Glogster, and Google Slides. I can't wait to see the final products.
For our final writing lab, we will be doing a fun Mother's Day and Father's Day project. If you would please e-mail me pictures of your whole family (including your daughter) OR individual mother/daughter and father/daughter pictures (or all three...if you have them), I would appreciate it! If I could have them by Wednesday, that would be great! Thanks so much.

- The girls are welcome to bring in items to decorate their cabinets to look like a school locker. They can collaborate with their cabinet partner or just bring in separate items. Use your imagination. This is optional.
